FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is hosted VoIP phone system?

A Hosted  VoIP PBX is a private branch exchange (PBX) delivered as a hosted service. It’s also known as a Virtual PBX and the advantages companies that use it experience are the elimination of installation, operation and maintenance costs of their VoIP PBX as their VoIP service provider hosts their PBX for them.

A Hosted PBX still allows companies to utilise and take complete advantage of their phone system’s feature set such as call transfer, hunt groups, voicemail, faxing, automated greetings, conferences and so on.

We offer Hosted PBX’s as a service to  our customers handle the call routing or switching as well as all maintenance involved in the hosted PBX service

  • Initial and Ongoing cost savings – there’s no need for a large investment before installing your phone system and also the maintenance cost of your phone system is much lower as you don’t need to hire someone in house to operate and maintain your PBX.
  • Eliminate office boundaries – employees can work from anywhere with a virtual office phone system. Ideal for home-workers and salespeople who are constantly on the move.
  • Boost of corporate image – by using a hosted phone system small businesses can still give the impression of being a large organisation with a professional phone system.
  • Scale-ability – with a virtual phone system businesses can add or remove lines and extensions as they grow
  • Easy to use – since there’s no end-user management involved with a virtual PBX, it’s easier to use than a traditional phone system
Is hosted VoIP reliable? high-quality?

The answer is a resounding yes, not only our hosted business VoIP services reliable, they offer high-definition voice and other capabilities, such as deep data integrations.

Business professionals who are just now considering hosted VoIP might ask, "is it reliable?" and/or, "is it high-quality?" This is typically because they’ve had an experience with a free VoIP service, such a Google Voice or Skype— and you get what you pay for. Free VoIP services are engineered to minimise the provider's costs, which can lead to oversubscribed networks and quality degradation.

What's needed for hosted VoIP phone system?

Adequate internet connection.

Not surprisingly, the key aspect of successfully using a hosted VoIP service is quality Internet connectivity. For multiple phones in an office location, you’ll need business-grade broadband with enough bandwidth. We rarely encounter businesses that don’t have “enough”

What sort of phone I can use?

To use hosted VoIP, it’s best to used IP phones, meaning IP desk phones or IP cordless phones with Ethernet ports, or software phones for computer and mobile. With some hosted VoIP providers,  you can use Analogue Telephone Adapters (ATA) with standard normal telephones. However, this limits the phone capabilities; for example, they will not support HD voice. If you’re switching to hosted VoIP, and you plan to grow your business beyond just a few employees, we recommend you purchase IP phones.

Can you use mobile phones with our hosted VoIP?

Yes. As mentioned above, VoIP makes it possible to use software phones (softphones) instead of, or in addition to, physical desk phones. The term mobile VoIP App refers to using an app that allows you to make VoIP calls. In other words, you can download a softphone app to receive all of your work calls, and your outbound calls will appear with your professional caller ID

What is the quality of voice using mobile app?

Wondering about quality? It depends on your wireless network. VoIP over WiFi can deliver excellent call quality— if you have excellent WiFi. In addition, VoIP over a strong 4G LTE signal on a mobile network can also deliver reliable HD voice.
